There Are Many Opportunities for Sponsorship at the 2019 Chili and BBQ Festival
The Canadian Festival of Chili and BBQ is part of The Canadian Chili and BBQ Society, a registered not-for-profit organization, and we are pleased to offer Sponsorship Opportunities for our 2019 BC Chili and BBQ Championships. The competition will take place on the weekend of May 4 & 5 at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in historic Langley, BC.
The Canadian Festival of Chili and BBQ has been around for over 32 years. Our Festival had one of the largest prize purses on the Competition BBQ circuit at $15,000. In order to bring in more competition teams, even larger crowds and to raise even more money for the charity we support The BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund. Together we have raised over $50,000 for our charity! We are completely volunteer run and a registered BC Society.
Our Festival draws thousands of families, couples and individuals to take in the sights, smells and tastes of a real Southern Style Chili and BBQ Competition. Huge crowds over the two-day Festival gives you an excellent opportunity to market your products and make your company known to a large demographic.
Media Coverage is extensive. Over the past several years we have had live coverage just prior to the festival on Global Television’s Morning News and City TV’s Breakfast Television plus stories on the six o’clock news for CTV, Global and the Asian market. We have been featured in The Province newspaper and we advertise extensively in local newspapers, radio and print media. We are included in local radio and televisions upcoming community events promotions.
Sponsors Row on-site gives our sponsors a chance to meet and greet the public as they wander through the site enabling you to promote and market your product or services personally. You will be provided the space you need including tables and chairs to set up your display.
Our website www.ccbbqs.com (Canadian Chili and BBQ Society) will place your logo on our website, including a live link. Our website is well promoted to the general public as well as the competition BBQ circuit. Your logo is included on all printed material, on-site festival banners and all newspaper advertising. The Festival banners are used as a backdrop in our live and taped TV coverage as much as possible.
Social media is used extensively and tagged pushes are constant. Our Facebook page audience and followers is ever increasing and all posts are tagged to increase our audience. We are working on increasing our online presence with additions made to our volunteer team with social marketing wizards. Watch for an even bigger online presence in 2019!
Steak Judging Invitation
For the past two years our sponsors have been invited to take part in becoming a certified SCA steak judge and then to judge the ribeye steaks that are prepared by the competition teams. Yes, it does sound like a terrible job but it is a huge hit with all our sponsors that have participated. You can have a part in deciding who the next Canadian SCA Steak Champion will be!
Our prize purse and low registration fees make our event a huge draw to BBQ teams and the public who come to take in the sights, smells, tastes and vibe that is Competition BBQ and The BC Chili and BBQ Championships. Financial support from sponsors goes directly to the prize purse, charity and marketing costs for the event.
It is an honour for us as veteran BBQ competitors to produce the oldest and largest BBQ competition in Canada and the Pacific Northwest. We have a fabulous group of ongoing sponsors that have been supporting The Festival for years. They too believe in the historic significance of this Festival as well as the promotional rewards they have realized over the years. We hope you will seriously consider joining our sponsorship family and help grow The Canadian Festival of Chili and BBQ and help us continue with our support for the young burn survivors here in BC.
Please feel free to contact us at any time to discuss how we could work together to promote your business and to support our commitment to the enjoyment and memories created by outdoor family fun.
